Next week, we will be diving into one of the most important conversations in today’s parking industry: How are industry-wide transformations reshaping audits, operations, and the parker experience? 

We are upon unprecedented times of influence on the parking industry. Within the past decade, the way we do business has transformed, but the core of the parking industry remains the same: Get the cars off the street and the money in the bank.  

The track used to be linear from parker arrival, cash collection and cash deposit. Now the process resembles a complex web of multiple payment channels, third-party vendors, and ever-evolving access technologies. Gone are the days of simple cash audits that informed the facility owner of predictable revenue flows. Mitigation of operational “leaks” used to be optional in what was once a localized business. As outside influences continue to grow and add complexity, partnering with expert teams like TPN is now a “best practice” for parking managers. 

In addition, parkers are navigating a growing maze of access systems. It has become an industry joke that parkers may now need a handbook to navigate access to an unfamiliar garage. If this is the case, then we have missed the mark as an industry - we can do better.
