An Inside Look at TPN Consulting’s Performance Monitoring Program

At TPN Consulting, we provide many services to help owners and operators with their parking operation, whatever the setup or situation might be. One of the programs we offer is called Performance Monitoring. It is the service most used by our customers because it provides continual observation of the parking garage, management support for the operator, and peace of mind for the garage owner.
With Performance Monitoring, the TPN staff can work with various equipment types and operators. After receiving information from the equipment and operator, we analyze the data and provide a comparison and summary for each category. The categories we analyze depend on the location's specifics. However, we typically include these categories: Monthly Parking, Transient Parking, Validations, and Third-Party Aggregators, also known as E-Commerce Transactions. After completing our analysis, we create a final report containing our analysis of each data set, any findings we observed, and questions we have for the operators. We monitor and ask questions about data that deviates from the typical trend we see at that garage or variances in revenue.
Unlike our extensive Audit program, Performance Monitoring reports are completed monthly or quarterly. Because of the frequency, the TPN staff regularly communicates with facility operators and retains detailed knowledge about how the parking garage functions.
