Charging Ahead: The Evolving Role of Parking in the Electric Vehicle Revolution

Where are we with electric vehicles? WE certainly do not want a political discussion but we just entered a new direction with the future course of preparing for a garage to accommodate the EV market. Are we headed at a reasonable speed toward a new, cleaner, more energy efficient, lower maintenance vehicle? The answer is most definitely yes. We see Teslas roaming the streets driven by an increasing number of the early adopters. Yet, this is just a glimpse of what’s to come. The Teslas and the early adopters of today are in reality the model T’s of the 1920’s.

Will there continue to be a drive by the public and the auto manufacturers to move toward the new future mentioned above? Yes. It is impossible to stop this forward momentum. Just like every modern convenience we have they all, airplanes, space vehicles, the computer you are reading this on, your all important cell phone, all started life as something very different from what we have today. Everyone of them went through the development steps that we are seeing the new age of propulsion go through.

The biggest impact that just happened spurred by the current election is the removal of the mandate. Mandates take an innovation at an early part of it’s development and channel the development to meet the early vision. Cleared of mandates the innovators, auto manufactures, and the public are clear to develop the propulsion system and the new form of transportation of tomorrow.

I can only imagine the ride we are in for.
