In an exclusive interview with Clyde Wilson, Host of the Our Parking Industry Podcast and Founder of TPN Consulting, Rick shared his excitement about his new role and the opportunities ahead for Reimagined Parking. "This company has had some unsettled history, but there are lots of good people and significant opportunities for growth and maturity," Rick stated. "The recent recapitalization gives us the flexibility to do just about anything we want."  

  

A Legacy of Leadership and Industry Experience  

  

Rick West's journey in parking began as part of his family's business. His father was friends with Monroe Carroll, Clyde's mentor, and Rick grew up watching parking owners and operators take risks and achieve success. His background as a second-generation parking professional, combined with his extensive experience in airport parking and strategic leadership roles at Millennium Parking Concession, Central Parking Corporation, and Parking Company of America Airports, uniquely positions him to lead Reimagined Parking into its next era of growth.  

  

Reflecting on his career, Rick shared, "I started my own company to fix broken airport parking operations, and the experience gained there set me up to be ready to take on Reimagined Parking."

Under Rick's leadership, Reimagined Parking is poised to continue its prominence as the third-largest parking company, with operations across more than 275 cities in North America. Rick emphasized the importance of leveraging digital services to meet evolving customer expectations, stating, "There millions of people who want to research, reserve, and pay for parking online. Reimagine will be in every channel where these people are looking, be engaged and continually improve the experience."  

  

Rick's strategic vision focuses on marketing, service, and value to drive growth and enhance customer experience. "Marketing gets us new clients and customers; service keeps existing clients and customers cared for; value represents the expectation to improve every year," Rick explained. "Constantly grow, keep clients and customers happy, and get better every year – you can't just stay still!"

Clyde Wilson and Rick West share a long-standing friendship that dates back to 2007, when they met at an industry event. Their professional paths crossed when Rick was responsible for purchasing Focus Point Parking, one of Clyde's first innovations. The bond between their families has continued to grow, with even their wives forming a close friendship.
